Stumbled upon this place when I was visiting Barranquilla for a wedding. The service was excellent, the coffee exquisite, and the cake blew me away. Coming from Portland, Oregon I tend to seek out coffee locally when traveling. Funny enough one of the owners had just visited Portland and we shared about the common coffee culture. If you’re in Barranquilla make sure you dedicate a visit to La Cass because this place will change how you see coffee.

This place is totally hidden! I felt like I was entering someone's house. Hit the orange button at the gate to be buzzed in. Once inside it's wonderful! Modern, friendly service, delicious food and excellent coffee! There is even a roaster at the back where they roast the beans in house from their own farm! I was lucky enough to meet one of the owner's Carlos and he explained the whole process in a couple minutes of how they prepare the beans before they turn them into their delicious flavors. Can't wait to come again when I'm back in town! Highly recommend you try this place out. Please follow @bouncingplaces on YOUTUBE as It helps support the channel so I can continue sharing amazing places like this to eat and fun adventures as I travel the world full time See you in the next one! Beautiful, tranquil, and well designed coffee shop. The best I’ve visited in Barranquilla so far (and by far). Getting in can be confusing because there’s a gate that makes it seem like it’s a private residence. You have to press the top door bell to the left (see image I uploaded) to have someone let you in. Once inside however, you can enjoy delicious espresso and great pastries while listening to chill music with good WiFi. It’s a definite must for anyone who is serious about coffee.

La Casa en el Cielo is an amazing coffee shop, one of the best I’ve ever visited. I was lucky enough to find it at the beginning of a 2 week trip and visited nearly every day. The decor is great, as it feels like you are in a friend’s house. The menu has a lot of options. I especially enjoyed the filtered coffees, the campesino, and olla. Each cup of coffee was easily 10/10. Mauricio is a professional who makes each cup with excellent quality and service.

This is an amazing kind of hidden spot in Barranquilla. The atmosphere is so peaceful, the music, the lights. It's perfect to have some peaceful time, some nice conversations, some great coffee (Recommend Mocca), some delicious snacks (Recommend the house Panini), and if you work remotely do not hesitate to just pay a visit and work during the day. It's advised to come with a reservation due to the nature of the place, but if you have none and there are tables available, they will welcome you. Thanks for your services

I met up with a tourist here on a Tuesday morning around 9:35AM for a drink, chat, and snack. The first thing I noticed is that the place is gated, so guests have to be "buzzed in." I love it! The second thing I noticed is that the space is upscale, chill, and very well-suited for business meetings or quiet working. There were 8 other guests, in 3 groups, having what sounded like both social and business meetings... yet they kept their voices "reasonable" or even low. There was gentle, relaxing, instrumental music playing... wait a minute... sh!t, I think I just found the "quiet lounge" that my bilingual assistant and I have been seeking for months! The waiter was very nice and welcoming. Just by coincidence, there were a couple of bilingual Colombians (paisas) diners already there, and he/they helped my snack buddy place her order. After that, we engaged those nice folks in a fun conversation, mostly centered on language differences between Medellin and the Caribbean coast. Anyway, I ordered the Limonada Natural and a thick slice of Torta de Piña, for a total of just under 20,000 pesos. The lemonade was basically watery and almost tasteless (to me), so the waiter brought me a little sugar. The pineapple cake slice was delicious without being overly sweet... I could taste the various flavors in it. I plan to come back here in the future!

Brilliant family-run place. They do specialty coffee on par with the best coffee places we’ve tried in Bogota, Medellin and throughout our travels in Central America. And their delicious cakes are made by the owners mom, which is a nice touch! They roast the beans themselves, and you can buy some for home! Highly recommend this place to everyone that appreciates high quality coffee.
